Not really sure it matters who makes it unless you get it as gospel that it's a re-bagged addy and not one which has been re-formulated for them with cheaper fillers.

I remember using a bag of Wicks adhesive years ago it was all sand

Dont use wickes adhesive much, but use some on my garden path layed porcelain tiles still solid.
