we haven't got a lot on at the moment ! its always is a rush just before christmas, then a slow down just after for us, then madness in spring/summer :mad2: how you all doing ?

I was turning work away from the beginning of November onwards as it was manic this year. Luckily though some of the customers opted to wait until the new year for me to do their work so I've now got enough on for all of Jan and into Feb.

After that I have one of my builder contacts that has provisionally booked me for a couple of swimming pool changing rooms so fingers crossed.

Bits and pieces for me. Which is fine because I hate getting up in the cold. Like Sean above I was megga busy b4 Xmas. I'm still eating Xmas cake so technically it's still Xmas time for me!

been quiet lately, a job running up to xmas was postponed till next week and couldn't fill in the 2 weeks, so had a long break really. Nevermind though, dog has had some good walks!, but I'll need to top up the coffers as I'm getting a new pup early march, (due to be born tomorrow) and that'll set me back about £1,000:yikes:

I was busy up until Christmas but quietened down a bit. Took a phonecall last week about tiling three bathroom floors in a new build house. Biggest problem I have at the moment is finding a plumber to take care of the plumbing side of things - they all seem to be fully booked!

I am finding this month to be busier that expected, got enough booked in for next few weeks and also got some pricing to do this week plus abit more in the pipeline.

Things are looking up abit..............................but for how long!!

Few small jobs plastering and tiling splashbacks in kitchen. Have 3 bigger jobs priced, one was to take bath out and install shower tray and shower, move toilet in bathroom and install a new shower tray and shower in ensuite. The job was more or less mine untill I sent them an email recommending IMO that they need to retile the whole bathroom. Reasons being tiles are at least 30yr old and there's going to be a large void that I can't replace with same tiles where bath and toilet is. In ensuite same again, they want me to put back same tiles I remove after installing a new modern shower tray. I think I've scared them away after suggesting this because I haven't heard from them again. TBH if they won't go with the new tiles I'm not going to do the job because its going to look a mess trying to patch in with older tiles and I don't want my name to it. Best to walk away from these jobs. Shame to because if im left alone to do this job, I'll leave one lovely shower room for them.

i feel blessed this year as this time last year in was quiet i got a 100 metre floor to do finish a site in camarthen got a small site in monmouth doing a job for a local tile firm and 80 houses to do by march plus 40 flats in cardiff to do after and a site in newport thats huge 3 years work happy days

Thanks to an indecisive customer and no one telling me what was going on I was left high and dry in Nov, after having turned away work as I was due to be busy. I was furious. Unfortunately I couldnt move other jobs I had booked in for the New Year. Starting a Vic floor next week .
