why is the fein multimaster so crap..

used my brand new multimaster today to remove a screw that was sticking out from a wall and i was there a good ten minutes!!!!!!!!, looked at the brand new blade after and it was worn down quite a bit. ah well only £25 for a new blade that was used once. this has to be one of the most overpriced tools for performance(very underpowered). its a d.i.y tool and not for the trade. and i tried it on removing wall adhesive and it was not much better at that either. just takes off the top layer and leaves the rest. it is the newer version with the better motor and the blade i used(to remove the screw) was for metal and wood.

got to disagree with you steve m8.Did you use the correct cutting tool/AS FOR THE ADHESIVE ..WET IT FIRST THEN USE THE BLUNT TOOL BIT AND IT COMES OFF A DODDLE.Sorry to hear you didnt like it...Did you have it turned up full m8 ..black nob at side?I love mine and use it on most jobs.

turned up full and blade was for metal/wood so unless it cant even cut a screw in half ......i will try wetting the adhesive next time for removal

Never had that problem, cuts screws , nails and anything else i throw at it within seconds. I agree about cost of blades though.

Only have to touch a screw with a Fein and it cuts off! Really cannot be using it right (no offense) As for it being a "DIY tool" couldnt be further from the truth, class tool. Fein is a very very good quality maker of tools. P.S. what blade was you using to remove the screw?

Sorry to hear you arent happy with your fein mate gotta say i think mine is great very handy love it for cutting under doorlinings and architraves. sure yours aint playing up mate? Agree with you on the blades though overpriced mate.
