Wii.... who has one?

The wife wants one to get a bit fitter.

Who has one? Does it get used? Any comments/opinions appreciated.

I have one. Had it for about 2 years. Not invested in the Wii Fit yet. But the tennis, boxing and Tiger Woods golf games certainly make your muscles ache.

I had retired customers last week swore by their Wii fit. He was 70 and she was 64. Over a year they claimed he lost 3 stone and she lost 2 and they looked great for their ages.

apparently Dame Helen Mirren is endorsing the Wii fit now. I still prefer getting out and about walking the dog or going for a cycle ride when the weather is good enough.

Yes it does get used. When we first had it, it was like an addiction. Every day, night, hour God sent, we used it. But then we moved house and it just sat around for a while. Bought a few different games for it, Mario and Sonic at the Olympic games, Tiger Woods Golf, Super Mario Bros and so on.

That's one of my concerns.

So yes Sandy, after the novelty wears off, it will probably lie idle for a while, but ours is back in use almost nightly with hubby practicising his golf swings on Tiger Woods. Friday and Saturday nights, with a bottle of wine, when there's nothing on the goggle box usually means we'll have a tennis and 10 pin bowling tournament.

It's definitely something worthwhile for winter use whilst you can't get out and about if the weather is rubbish.

I'd say go for one if you're umming and arring. I've never been interested in games consoles really until we had the Wii. We've got an old N64 with diddy kong racing and that's hilarious if you're drunk, but other than that, it's the Wii. And you can take your Wii-motes to friends houses and set them up so that your Wii-Mii appears on their TV when you're playing games at theirs :yesnod:
