Just tiled a kitchen and have come back tonight to grout it and had to re apply the soffet tiles at the top of the window .
I re applied addy using bal blue star and sticky tape and will go back tommorow to see if they have stuck .
I noticed when i took of the tiles that some of the adhesive had gone off but some had,nt ?.
Anyway question is would it be better to use say rapid set or something like that for window soffets for future reference and are there any tips regarding keeping them from dropping instead of sticky tape .

Thanks mik.

If using tubbed adhesive and your adhesive bed is thicker than the 3mm recommended then it will take a lot longer to set than the 24 hr time frame normally stated...

I always use bagged now...

so you will have to leave it longer....the moisture needs to leave the adhesive for it to dry with tubbed...so if the tile biscuit and substrate are not that porous then it will take longer...

Cheers dave

The gap was thicker than 3 mm so probaly explains why it had not gone off completly .
I actually thought it might be the heat but maybe i was wrong anyway will use bagged in near future for windows .
