Aye you have a point there Dave , I just think its a shame really that we are not able to stick to our own, but like you say times are changing whether its for the better, well me I dont think it is , too many people making a mess of other trades jobs and getting our trade a bad name, but as I say thats just my opinion, now waiting for the onslaught lol:sofahide:

multi traders generally equates to handymen. sometimes pretty good. do but im my experience they are usually pretty poor
joiner being a plumber/tiler and calling themselves a bathroom specialist,

Ouch !

Time's Ran Out

That's what the forum is about - opinions!
I just tile, but I've worked for some bathroom fitters who do the whole job, and indeed project managed the compete job, and I understand why customers want 1 man to do the job.
The way some bathrooms are left for us to tile is nothing short of disgraceful!
Job we're on a present is a wet room, so why would they emulsion the walls! I wouldn't say the plastering was bad but he was paid off yesterday!! There's no lights in any of the rooms and the tiles are rectified.
Some people couldn't organise a piste up in a brewery.

I'am just a tiler Dave!
When I spend 2 hours washing emulsion off a wall and I look out the small wet room window at the rain chucking it down, it says something when I wish I was outside!

It certainly does....

White Room

I have'nt worked for builders for a long time and have started to see why, I'm doing an en-suite, there's a window opening about 1.7m from the floor level measuring .700x.300mm and there's sterling board on the outside which has eml screwed on it and been rendered externally and the window waiting to be fitted.

I love muti trader's. ...

Ticking over nicely here....only 2/3 weeks infront of myself. ...but no one seems to want to wait longer than that anyway......never understand why customers book in every trade to do there kitchen or bathroom then ring a tiler when its all finished thinking you can start the next day....lol
