As some may know, I had my caravan nicked a few months ago. Insurance company finally rang up today to offer a settlement....they offered £700 more than what I paid for it 3 years ago, plus £600 for contents, I thought about their offer for about a second and snapped their hand off:smilewinkgrin::smilewinkgrin:

When I crashed the van in dec and it was declared a write off I ended up gett ing 400 quid more than its worth ! Take it when it's going !!

they're getting stolen from secure storage compounds nowadays doug. if the thieves want it and are determined enough, they'll take it. you can't have anything nice nowadays without somebody else eyeing it up to take it from you.

well done doug good result,,,,i went into a main road garage in edinburgh about a month ago to look at 1 of 3 caravans he had...during the chat he told me he had 1 nicked off his forecourt the week prior they broke into and moved 4 cars which were blocking it in ....hooked it up and drove it of the court at 7 o clock at night , is there no actual caravan storage secure places near you doug?
