ToppsTilesHelp

Hi there, i am new to this forum but hope i can help alot. Ok the problem you are having is there is a very high volume of wax on these tiles. I work for topps tiles and we have had so many customers been turned to us from B&Q because they dont have a clue how to clean them.

The two things i suggest are File Stone cleaner. And grout pads. It is hard on the arms but once cleand with this stone cleaner and scrubbed with the grout pads they do look great.

I would also suggest that you purchase the ones we sell at topps tiles, they are slightly smaller but look just as good.

Hope this helps thanks scott.

used the 300 x 300 black porcelain last week customer said he would seal them when i had left for me to go back to grout had same problem removing marks until he unleashed mr sheen on them :huh2:
looked alright when i fineshed grouting and left for him to seal them again when grout was dry i havent seen the job since but had no call backs so im assuming everything ok

would advise everyone to stay clear of them though the shape and size differences was unreal and if the customer had of took B&Qs resident "TILER"s advice of sealing them on the back and front before fixing i think i could of run into a few sticky (or not so stuck) problems

I tiled my floor with these,i had problems with the grout marking them, went back to B&Q had a massive argument with the manager but got money for my time and new boxes of tiles.Re-laid them, used different sealer on them, been down a year now and still looking good. They have a greasy film on them which must be cleaned off before sealing once this is done they are great tiles

did you seal them when you laidthem?what substrate did you lay on? the chinese often use a black wax on their soluble salt porcelain when they make them ,if you cant get them clean try a product called wexa from lithofin if that does not work it is hours of work with cellulose thinners ,make sure the room is well ventilated if you go down that route .
good luck

i had these laid in my last house bout a year ago,,the tiler assisting me at the time(a mate) had to go searching for appropriate sealer for them as he had laid them in a house 2 weeks prior and had stained the lot of them,,they did come with a label stating they needed sealed with a certain sealer which neither b and q actually sold ever!!! and also which the tiler had never heard off..give these a wide berth id say, mine came up okay but seems they are nothing but cheap crap to be honest.
