I didnt realise how bad my eyes were till I started wearing glasses for driving, and i'm still youthfull thanks very much!

I picked up my first ever pair of reading glasses today. I didn't think my eyes were bad but now I have got them on everything seems so much clearer.......

Was anyone else surprised to find they needed specs?

I had 20:20 vision as a lad, but working on computers have me head ache (and back ache as I was leaning forwards squinting). Went the opticians and although the glasses are quite mild I pretty much can't see clear without them now at all. Use them permanently and not just for reading/computing now as when I take them off I can't see door handles and stuff. lol

The exact same thing happened to me lol. I was in denial but now cant believe the difference.

same as you Dan, My vision was perfect but staring at computers all day has left me practically blind

I wear specs for reading, computer etc...but started to wear them at work doing fiddly cuts etc. ..optician told me i was wearing to much so now i have bifocal lenses fitted, with anti scratch lenses so the make great safety glasses when cutting tiles.
