Was DIY to be fair to them. Didn't see the wall fully though so maybe some weird reason why it's such a slither there but no excuses really.

I've seen far worse from a "professional". I once rented a house and the nice tiles in the shower were loose. The agent sent a professional tiler around who ripped off all the tiles and replaced them with cheap plain white. They wernt levelled and Instead of setting setting out correctly, or even cutting thin strips, he filled 2cm wide gaps with grout. I sent photos to the agent. Felt sorry for the owner who was a serviceman based overseas. I'm not a professional tiler but I can do far better work myself, it just takes me a long time.

The small tile cuts look bad on the wall, the PVA strip too short to cover the gap entirely. The box/shelf looks like it is lower or level with the tub and no pitch down, the water sits on top of the tile and no overleap to overcome the gap. Most likely the bathtub was installed after the tiles were done creating those gaps around it. Bad practice!
