According to the manufacturer's specification it is both, waterproofing and super-thin anti-fracture membrane. That's why the question. It's a tanking and waterproofing product !! Not a decoupling membrane
It is an anti-fracture membrane as well as a tanking membrane, schluter version ( kerdi ) and dural do them as well. They do the job but imo schluter Ditra is my go to matting. This is ultrathin membrane. Anyone tried it as decoupling membrane? Any thoughts?
I agree with one exception: Mapei is ultrathin. Imagine a situation when you cannot elevate a floor beyond a certain level, like a doorstep for instance. In all other cases I would choose Ditra. It is an anti-fracture membrane as well as a tanking membrane, schluter version ( kerdi ) and dural do them as well. They do the job but imo schluter Ditra is my go to matting.
