He owns the entire company that distributes the tiles worldwide?

Or has the rights to sell them in the UK?

I’ve seen the tiles before in another country under the Porcela-bobo name which is what these were packaged in.

I’d imagine ‘Porcel-thin’ has the rights to sell the product exclusively in the UK so you might be right that these tiles came from that company. Unless they were imported. Cool tiles anyway. Made in China by the look of it, like everything.

Bo-Bo are the Chinese manufacturer.

Porcelthin are part of the F.E.E.T group which is owned by Ray Smith.

The head office and point of distribution is their main showroom based in South Bermondsey.

Anyone else selling Porcelthin in this country are only authorised dealers.

What about if someone imported from another country from within the EU and sold in the UK?
I’d find that extremely unlikely, but then I don’t pretend to know the retail industry at all.
But I do know Ray has the exclusive rights in he U.K.
Ray used to have a list of registered outlets on his web site. However I know that list has been reduced in recent times.

I originally found a list of registered suppliers on the website. I contacted my nearest supplier and was met with an unenthusiastic response to my enquiries.

I went into my local merchants and they said they could supply it- but it would take a couple of weeks.

I then contacted porcel thin direct and spoke to someone who said they wouldn’t be getting any stock for six weeks. It was very much a computer says no comment.

Anyway, I found these tiles on eBay of all places. Not branded as Porcel-thin as such, but used the same images and looked identical. Same dimensions and descriptions and considerably cheaper than my supplier.

Here endeth my story:tearsofjoy:
