Discuss Show Us YOUR Work Thread - Tilers Pictures in the Tiling Work Showcase Forum area at TilersForums.com.

Edit May 2024: THIS is a New Show Us Your Work Thread for 2024 Onwards

This is the new Tilers Showcase Forum where we want new tiling work added, with each tiling job you complete having a thread of its own so people can see what kind of work you do, and potential customers can find your work

I thought it was about time we had a thread dedicated to all members of Tilers forums to show us any work that they do.

Be it from installing a kitchen to garden decking. Show us your work! Get those pictures taken, but then do something with them! Actually add them to a thread and some facebook groups with your website link in them etc and it'll help spread the tile love. :)

If you have done a job then please do share it with us.

Pics are a MUST as what is the point of sharing a job without them...

So if you do a job and you take a few pics then please do share it with us.

Lets make it a big thread for all to view and input in.

Thanks Dave ..:thumbsup::thumbsup:

how long it takes to dry really depends on how wet tiles are.
the reclamation yards in france often have to clean off a lot of red paint on top of tiles.
sometimes they do this with paint stripper or pressure washer.
the french used to paint their terracotta withthis paint just like we used to in uk with red cardinal paint over quarries .
i would get a dehumidifier in as soon as possible and block offf the door to make air tight. i also use an air blowing machine which i leave on with dehumidifier . it greatly increases drying time.
will try to find a link for for one of these.
it is one of the most useful tools i have ever bought, especially if i am cleaning a stone floor and want to reseal same day.
washed fine grain render/plaster sand with white and grey cement mixed to proportion to give colour you want looks far better than grout.
some people mix sand with the grout but i dont think this looks very good.
dont know what clour sand you have in your part of bavaria.
fast set adhesive no good when laying this sort of tile as need to adjust joints when areas layed.
you probably have two different batches of tiles from different places and the wear on top is different.
the difficult thing is trying to get a reasonably even finish on rough and smooth surfaces of tiles.
cant use wax in bathroom as will go white if gets too wet.
i would look at lithofin products.
thier classic wax forerracotta is very easy to apply and buff
like the look of that habitarte, i dont rember seing that when i lived in munich.
they used to put a huge marquee tent up in the summer near the nyphenburger palace where hundereds of bacpackers could sleep very cheap.
i lived a whole summer there once . the stone shop i know is not this one.

@tony .. nice classic design... waterjet or selfcutting? i try to sell any geometric or joint design but i think i have to go to uk.. here in germany at this time a diagonal floor with border is "too much" for the customers.
everything you see on floor is cut by hand (makita angle grinder and metabo polisher), walls cut with dewalt d24000 and polished with metabo polisher

Yes water fed heating.i will add ardion 101 to sand cement grout, but not very strong.
i have always been dubious about grouts being that flexible.
you also have to be very careful with the sp grouts that they don't stain more sensitive stones like Portland,Lincoln, baths tone and Cotswold.
i see a lot of problems where inexperienced tilers get supplied with sp grout for these stones and can't clean off face.
