The coverlam I've used has been great. Cuts well, edges well and whilst I don't think the designs are as good as others, quality has been good for working with.
What issues have you had?
Only used the 5.5mm stuff and it was bowed and tensioned. I had a nightmare with it. L cuts had to be drilled with a 25mm bit as anything smaller they'd just go on first pass with the grinder. It was not much fun at all

Hopefully this flat and Plumb enough for the porcel-thin.
The only deviation is the inaccuracies of a spirit level.
I really took my time doing three walls.

Bad setting out if you need a cut that size;)

If I did needed it Albert, it’d of stuck it down immediately.
Wouldn’t have been throwing it around the floor. :p
It was the offcut from the shower floor.
And the other 395mm is the cut between the full tile and the wall with the pipe work.
Gotta make the most of every little piece, no spare material.
The way the ensuite was measured was to put a tape on the inside of the architrave and then measure the circumference from there and divide by 1.6m!!!! That's how the quants were worked out. Exact number bought. :seenoevil:

I’m used to Biogel now. I don’t want to change:tearsofjoy:

Thanks for the recommendation though. I’ve been advised to try Isomat for a little while now. It’s all about what’s local to me though. Which is mainly Tilemaster, Weber, Kerakoll.
If you’re Surrey based trying Isomats products shouldn’t be a problem, they’re based in Guilford.

Yes, Guildford is a 20 minute drive. The problem is that I don’t buy in bulk. I’ll use under ten bags per month. I tend to buy adhesive as I need it.

I think I’ll be using Biogel for these Porcel-Thin. My local supplier doesn’t stock the adhesive that they recommend, they can get it but it’ll be a ‘special’ $$$

Next question.........is there a definitive guide to mitring tiles?

Just having a little play with the Porcel-Thin tiles today.

With the mitring- I take it you don’t go too close to the edge otherwise you’ll leave a weak point?

Also, I’ve been mitring by firstly using a standard blade (Montolit GCX) to cut my mitre then taking it back with a fine blade (Montolit STL fine) and variable speed grinder and using the edge of the blade.

Do you overhang one mitre slightly more than the other or having them perfectly even?

I take it you leave a reasonable gap between the mitre and either grout or resin fill? Any tips on this? What sort of size gap are we talking?

Sorry about all the questions but it’s something I don’t do so am keen to get this right. pics below for reference. I think I need to take the mitre back quite a bit further
