Discuss Tilemaster therma boards? in the DIY Tiling Forum area at TilersForums.com.

Im wanting to lay underfloor heating mesh and then tile in a bathroom.

Currently there are old rank floorboards.

Ive had a look around and ive found this insulated board from tilemaster:


Is this a good product versus say the pro warm insulated backer boards?

Would these screw directly through the old boards to the joists? Or would i need to put chipboard down first and then these and so on??

Hi Bayhorse123, my apologies I realize this is an old thread, and no doubt you've found your answer since posting (or possibly not). But someone may happen upon this thread looking for this information also.

The DeltaBoards are an overlay panel system and need an adequate substrate under them as they aren't designed to be self-supporting. The thickness of the chipboard of timber floor boarding would be dependent on your joist centers.
