I have recently purchased a used three phase oven in good working order. The control circuit is 220 v and is supplied from one of the phases and a neutral direct from the mains board.
I have been advised that for, safety reasons a 440v/220v transformer would have to be installed instead.
Is this correct,?
there is only one contacter and 2 relays in the control circuit.

Hi. I'm hoping someone can help with a question about adding a socket as a spur onto a ring mains circuit (rcd protected at CU).
Its a 2 gang socket so max load could be 26A. The 2.5 TE cable is rated for 27A but this reduces to maybe 20A if its in buried in a wall in conduit (as it will be). Its not a long run (500 mm) and its unlikely anyone is going to plug two electric...

The meter box RCD for my power outlets in my home trips at random times, approximately every 13 hours. Have used a portable RCD box to test every appliance plugged into outlets but the portable RCD doesn’t trip. Any ideas? Faulty outlet? Faulty RCD ( it’s 25-30 years old)?
No other circuit trips, (oven, pumps etc.) only the power outlets.
Driving me nuts.

I have an old 175 trail bike , the 6v light run direct from ac generator, however its putting out 20v ac, and blowing the bulb...rather than having the stator rebuilt , I wish to put in a reducer to drop the voltage..I believe a resistor will suffice, but what size ?
The headlamp is 25watt and tail light is 5watt

Wonder if someone can give me a little advice on a burnt out socket I’ve found today:

Socket has now been isolated at the fuse board and is on a small ring with only 2 other sockets and a 30amp rcd.

Items plugged into the socket were a tp-link smart plug, with a lamp connected to it, and a 4 way...

Hi all … wondering if anyone can help … we have inherited an extensive set of dart lights.. they are missing g the adapter and out to go with and so at moment are useless .. I’ve contacted the supplier (see pic) who says the 3 pin set up was stopped a few years back and all are now 2 pin . And they don’t have the relevant adapters any more …

We had the light (photo attached) installed a couple of years ago - it still works but the bulb is faded but needs replacing.

Is it quite easy to replace myself (someone with no experience)? Or do I need to get someone in to do it?
