Hi all,

Please can you advise on the above, estimates of costs would be fine.

I realise it depends on my competency / skill set & experience to a degree. I've no "oil" experience to speak off apart from a couple of boiler installs back in the 1980's! I'm classified as Category 2 in the "prerequisites for OFTEC assessments"

Is there anyway of getting a good fixing, where the upright of the shower enclosure meets the continuous edge of large vertical porcelain tiles? I'm concerned about the possible cracking of tiles with holes drilled so near to the edge, and also the possibility of leakage. Laying the tiles horizontally is going to be so bitty. i have a number of tools that have stopped working, usually aldi ones lol, on a sander, i have fault traced the problem with a multi meter to the circuit where the continuity ends, from using a magnifying glass, the problem seems to be a burned out 'diode' maybe, i think lol, not an electrican here, is there anything that can be done with these cheap circuit boards or should i just throw it out...

I have installed a new shower and when the dial is turned to economy the light on the shower comes on but no water flows through, have checked water pipes and the are not blocked, when the dial is turned to hot or cold the light on the shower goes off, the light on my old shower would flicker on then off when it was turned on

It's been a while since I've stepped back and took a look at the forums which are being used etc.

The Plumbers Arms and Gas forums are all now public, but you won't be able to post in them without meeting the usual criteria.

Private Forums detract posting from the normal forums which Google 'crawls' and then indexes. The more threads we have out of the eyes of Google the less chance we have of new members coming aboard.
