chip in bath

I dropped a tile in the bottom of a bath and the corner of the tile went right threw the base :mad2::yikes: Called the PLASTIC SURGEON and you would never have known,Just kike new, cost me £80.00 but alot cheaper then a new bath!!
 
im sat here reading the the replys with you guessd it fish and chips and there awful . but i'll wash it down with a magners.

thanks all for the help. i'll try the fixing kit me thinks.

putting me off when in the instructions it says sanding down. how do you not scratch the rest of the bath. but nothing ventured bla bla

By using a finer and finer grit. Work your way up to a super fine grit that will almost polish the bath surface rather than scratch it.
 
ive chipped a bath twice now and i can tell you the repair kits arent very good at all your best option is the bath doctor usually about £30 by all means try the repair kit first
 
I highly recommend *********, they are briliant. I recently had my bathroom refitted and just as my tiler was finishing he dropped a screwdriver in the bath as he was fitting the shower screen. He called ********* and they repaired the chip you would never know it had been there. i was very impressed.:smilewinkgrin:
 
the flour paper you need for rubbibg down is in the kit

ive used it, its not easy to get an invisible repair as the white differs between white baths, bath doctors can mix and blend to get an invisible repair

I would be inclined to get it done proffesionally

by the time you have bought the kit and taken your time into account theres not a lot in it
 
i had the same problem a few years ago i got a bath doctor 2 do the chip he made a superb job of it. IT was a company in sheffield not sure if they will travel reyt down there though, ITS not cheap cost me 100 quid but if u wanna keep your rep best to do the job properly mate, gud look geting it sorted mate.:thumbsup:
