I've seent eh results from a DIY repair using a screwfix kit and it was rubbish, colour match was awful. Put the money towards a proper job i reckon.

Brasso is good for polishing out the fine surface scratches out of acrylic baths.

forget the kit imo,,call a local repair specialist,,i chipped an acrylic bath a month ago and they fixed it 70 quid,a bad repair job will look even worse done with a kit

im sat here reading the the replys with you guessd it fish and chips and there awful . but i'll wash it down with a magners.

thanks all for the help. i'll try the fixing kit me thinks.

putting me off when in the instructions it says sanding down. how do you not scratch the rest of the bath. but nothing ventured bla bla

cheers

The kit supplies the sanding paper which is very very fine, more like paper. think its like what car body repairers use some thing like 1200 grit. These kits are good for Chips as in just the paint but if its dented the plastic in anyway shape or form then you will notice the repair.

I highly recommend *********, they are briliant. I recently had my bathroom refitted and just as my tiler was finishing he dropped a screwdriver in the bath as he was fitting the shower screen. He called ********* and they repaired the chip you would never know it had been there. i was very impressed.

brilliant , first post and the thread had been dead for 7 months or so , did you think no one would notice :dunce:
