Got a call from a lady who had hired someone to refurb her bathroom. Guy had been there every weekend since Christmas and she's being paying him £10 per hour labour. She called me because the guy hadnt been for a few weeks and she just wants the job finished. Well I couldnt believe it, the standard of workmanship was atrocious. The guy had dotted and dabbed new tiles over old. I reckon he'd used bonding coat or something, the new tiles must have been about 1/2" away from the old ones. A few had fallen off. Thats the picture below
I felt really sorry for the woman. She;s been stitched up big time. I told her Id have no option but to rip the lot out and start again, properly but she couldnt afford my quote. So, I guess she's living with the mess and with no hope of getting it finished, unless someones going to do it for buttons. That was her mistake in the first place. Jeezo, what a nightmare.
