Siliconing before grouting

does anyone do it ever ? I've not personally done it but have seen people do it, how does it effect the seal?

I wouldn't. I'd imagine it would work into the joints outside of the Silicon bead and profiling it would be mare catching on unfilled joints.

I've done it a few times....but imo you don't get the same level of finish as doing it after.
