    Drop everything by 1/3 tile even up floor and ceiling line cuts. Reduces over bath to 2/3 tile and balances cuts too and bottom of window. Presuming this works for the rest of the room bingo!

    I would agree with Alan that it depends on its usage but if the space was to be seen it in my opinion needs pattern, a large area of infill for me just says "I couldn't be bothered"

    i would not apply a liquid DPM over these quarries, if the property is 200 years old a breathable system is a must, creatimg a moisture barrier will just force moisture into surrounding walls and cause all sorts of problems!     Julia good on you for standing your ground and achieving what you are paying for! I get continually fed up seeing trades get away with poor work and errors! As far as paying for the additional work stand your ground again it was an error, it was wrong and why should you pay!
