Installing 20mm porcelain tiles in garden, can I use regular building sand+cement?

Just to throw into the mix... Pedistalls? You wouldn't nessisarily need a concrete base then.

    Stained Grout

Good afternoon, Yes, you can just rake out the stained areas although, do note that the new grout will then look different in shade. You'll probably find you need to take out a least 5/6mm depth to get the new grout to stick into the joint. Careful you don't damage a tile, go carefully...

Aqua board /Jackoboard to plastered walls

Ah OK, Unless you already have the boards perhaps a liquid (paint on type) of tanking system would be easier for you? Especially if the skimmed plaster is nice and flat. Do insure the plaster has been allowed its drying time too! Else, most boards can be put up with 'dot & dab' method (do...

Grout Colour Problem: mapei ultracolour grout manhattan grey

Ltp Grout Stain remover will get off the haze. Sometimes, a light sanding of the grout will remove a top 'lighter coloured' layer. If it does, then seal it

You could tile directly onto the plaster, would that not be easier?

    tile board over wet ufh

Good morning, If your putting boards straight onto the joist then it'll need to be 'structual'. I don't know of any thinner than 18mm

50/50 Floorboards Concrete room. Not level!

Good morning, You shouldn't really tile straight onto the floor boards so, put a 'no more ply' type backer board down on these. They come in different thicknesses to suit. Then, use leveler on the concrete to bring the whole floor flat. Important :Do prime the leverler before tiling...

    Stained Grout

Good morning, I'd try passing some fine grained sand paper over it to remove a thin surface. If this works, seal the grout before it happens again (I'm presuming it's not sealed?) If the sand paper has to go too deep to remove the stain or doesn't budge it then replace the grout in the...

Tiling over old bitumen vinyl tiles

Good evening, You best phone Ardex technical and check. Looking at the tech spec for the product I suspect it won't stick. If your a mapei man, eco prim grip to prime then keraquick to stick the mat and tiles down would work.

Removing 'picture framing' from tumbled limestone

Good morning, Perhaps try a fine grade sand paper on an off cut? Also, if u have a friendly local tile shop, you could take the off cut in and ask them to apply in certain marked areas abit of different sealers and see how it all looks when dry. You may have already but, you could try...

Removing 'picture framing' from tumbled limestone

I can't see that you've done anything wrong tbh. Ltp mattstone and grimex are good products. Have u a spare piece , unsealed, off cut of the Limestone? I'm thinking, If u have, wipe off the dust with a damp cloth, let it dry and see what u have. Could it be the stone itself? It's often...
