Aqua board /Jackoboard to plastered walls

Ah OK, Unless you already have the boards perhaps a liquid (paint on type) of tanking system would be easier for you? Especially if the skimmed plaster is nice and flat. Do insure the plaster has been allowed its drying time too! Else, most boards can be put up with 'dot & dab' method (do...

You could tile directly onto the plaster, would that not be easier?

50/50 Floorboards Concrete room. Not level!

Good morning, You shouldn't really tile straight onto the floor boards so, put a 'no more ply' type backer board down on these. They come in different thicknesses to suit. Then, use leveler on the concrete to bring the whole floor flat. Important :Do prime the leverler before tiling...

Tiling over old bitumen vinyl tiles

Good evening, You best phone Ardex technical and check. Looking at the tech spec for the product I suspect it won't stick. If your a mapei man, eco prim grip to prime then keraquick to stick the mat and tiles down would work.

    How to trim

Afternoon all, Im tiling an external corner where, one wall will be completely tiled and the other wall only half tiled. Does anyone know how to best approach this trims wise? The problem being that using the usual method means there's a lip of the trim in the unfilled/tiled area. Hope this...

How should my bathroom tile be laid out?

Grout line centre of the valve looks best to me. It's also,(as the valve is placed) centre of the bath too then. I think your notice where the grout line sits more than the tile length either side of it.

Unhappy with finish of beveled metro tiles and tile trim around window - are we being unreasonable?

I wouldn't be happy with that finish either. Cuts are very chipped and not close enough to the trim. The colour of the grout just highlights the problems too.

Contract / insulation board on the floor

I'm not sure if its correct but, I've always assumed that the cement boards will take more deflection out of a suspended floor than the othersort. You can seal them up with primer and tape the joints to waterproof if required too.

Sbr primar for bathroom walls help

I'm not suggesting that the pastes seal a porus substrate, rather that they don't necessarily need it sealed. Pastes are fairly slow to dry and a porus substrate to help aid the process would seem to me, to be a good thing.

Sbr primar for bathroom walls help

Most pastes are self priming so its not needed. Also, the sbr layer will make it harder for the paste to dry out.

Help needed from the professionals! - Limestone Floor

You likely have some iron in the limestone which has oxidised, (rusted) when the moisture level increased and the air could get to it. The damper this is, the darker it will appear. I can't see any way to fix it. I'd have thought its irreversibly stained.
