I had a similar one a whiule back excess wire under kitchen units, told builder i won't be tiling floor, thats ok then he said i'll cut the wire! i walked off until correct mat was installed 2 days later.

I had spme porcelain tiles earlier this year and could not get them to cut with anything, put a stop to the job as they were quite expensive customer went back to where they got them from, turns out they were a problem tile had the whole lot refunded.

Carpet underlay does the trick.

The whole thing looks dreadful if you ask me !

Same old story builders done it, i done kitchen walls a while ago on an extension, every floor tile was loose, builder had done it TWICE!

Idone some of them a couple of weeks ago, never had aproblem tob be honest.

Doesn't matter what SLC they used, wrong option to start with.

And don't stick down MDF to tile on!!

I won't do it anymore, boring would rather sit at home even if i was quiet.
