New rubi cutter- dc250 1200 now available in uk!

Dave when you get a price on these can you drop me a message on here please. I started a thread a week or so ago about a new cutter. Basically I need a cutter capable of ripping down 100mts of 1200mm long, 25mm thick limestone slabs for a job starting in Sept. I was thinking of either the Rubi...

Medium - heavy duty wet cutter/saw

Yeah for 150mts of stone I'd be looking at spending more than that to get a good machine and blade that I knew wouldn't let me down. I use the Dewalt 99% of the time and have no complaints. If I was you I'd spend the extra and go down this route

Maybe I should think about these a bit more then. I thought cutting down over 100 slabs like this would be a pain in the backside

Best 1200mm+ wet cutter for stone

I'm put off the flex or the other wet hand held saws as ripping down 100mts of limestone into planks either 250mm or 195mm wide and they need to be spot on. Being laid like wood flooring in random planks. I know these machines are good but I felt there would be too much play on them and I...

Best 1200mm+ wet cutter for stone

Evening all, Got a couple of jobs coming up that will require a wet cutter that can handle limestone slabs 1200mm long,800mm wide and 25mm thick. We are ripping down the slabs to make planks on one job so the finish of the cut must be spot on. Also I know its going to be a heavy piece of kit...

Easiest was to level a exterior patio slab for tiling

Yeah thats what I'm thinking. Is it really worth the grief if/when it goes wrong. Could cost me a few quid in the long run and you know even though he says yeah go with it, I want hold you responsible if it went wrong my phone wouldn't stop ringing. I can't grind that much off the screed either...

Easiest was to level a exterior patio slab for tiling

The bi-folds are on the long edge of the slab. 2 sets of 5 doors so guessing about 3mt ish each. Yeah I said he's cocked it up and I cant get much of a fall on it. He said he didn't want much of a slope anyway as it's for summer dinner parties and he doesn't want a sloping table, just keep the...

Easiest was to level a exterior patio slab for tiling

Evening all, I'm pricing an exterior patio where the concrete pad has been laid by the homeowner to save costs. It's 10mt x 4mt, has no fall away from the house, is very rough and has several belly's and dips - approx 5-8mm max. I've only got 10-15mm to play with or the tiles will be higher...

    Price check please

I spose at 200 mts you can afford to nick some money off him on the tiling and then swallow abit on the screeding. £10/£12 a mt if your happy and it gets you the job. As for the weather, 200mts has got to be a good couple of weeks work so your bound to get a bit of everything in that time aint you

    Price check please

I'd go £35/£40 a mt for the tiling inc sealing - back breaking slabs ain't they and you can always come down in price if too high for client. Not sure on the screeding. I'd probably try to work out a price for the job I was happy with. I hate doing stuff like that on a mt price. How bigs the area?

The things you may see, while doing tenanted refurbs

I worked on a site once and saw something that still makes me laugh. 2 sparks had found the ladys naughty draw and had decided it'd be funny to put suspender belts on their heads and have a sword fight with her two large toys. Bounding about from room to room, shouting and making light sabre...

Laid 60mts and all was fine, lady kept looking in and loving it over 4 days. Got a crying phone call 4th night. She hates it and cant live with it (even tho her sister...
