    Favourite Washboy?

I just stick a black bin bag in mine, lift it out when you've finished, tie the top and put the bag over a drain, let it sit for a bit to let the grout residue settle and then pierce a small hole on the corner of the bag to let the water drain out. I recently got a washboy from Selco for £20...

    Topps Adhesive

Anybody use Topps adhesive? just had a thing through the post giving me log on details for the trade section of their website and see their own brand adhesive is as little as under £8 plus vat per bag. I know it's made by Palace but have never used that either - is it any good?

    Slc, What's Your Preferred Brand?

Little update. I had to level a floor this week so tried the Weber, mixed it up as per the instructions (5L per bag) and tbh found it didn't flow very well and seemed a little 'thick' like it could have taken a bit more water, didn't like to add more as I prefer to follow the makers...

    Xmas Decorations

It could be for Diwali - I saw a local house that always seemed to have the decs up early and happened to mention it to a mate, he said they're Indian and are celebrating Diwali (festival of lights) and it takes place in mid November.

    Metro Advice Needed

Just looked at a splashback job and the customer wants white 200 x 100 flat, not bevelled. Problem is (as I can see) is the measurement between the worktop and the horizontal angle bead on the window cill is 215mm, which will become about 225+ after the cill is tiled - she doesn't really want a...

My brother in law is an electrician and when he moved to the coast a little old lady asked if he would do a job for her - so he went and did it and when he finished she said ''hang on, I'll pop indoors and get you something'' he assumed she was going to get her purse. She returned with two jars...

    Cutter For 600's

Got a job coming up with 600 x 600 polished porcelain - current Rubi cutter only goes to 500 so need an upgrade. So today I popped into CTD and he had two Sigmas in stock, a 3B2 and a 3B3M (I think) he reckoned that the 3B2 would not cut as well as the other as it had a fixed breaker foot, ie...
