    Silicon movement joints are ok short term but look grubby after six months ...I would use Schluter’s perimeter and intermediate profiles. ..many colours and does not deteriorate like Silicon making you install look better for longer.

    Looks like a poor job... from the picture of the removed tile it looks like the old tiles were removed and the old adhesive has just had the high points removed....I would have used levelling compound be fore tiling to get a better floor.

    Sort out floor boards first and then overboard with 6mm No more ply if you plan to tile it.... also are they going to tank the walls before tiling?....they should.

    Always follow the manufacturers installation instructions for cement boards... we use no more ply and for your job you would need only 6mm pre primed cement boards fixed with mega strength adhesive and 8 screws per board.

    Why are people still using plasterers on areas are going to be tiled ... plaster is week and needs prepping, give your self more income and rectify the wall yourself with products like Mapei nivoplan or Kerakoll kera level ... stronger and ready for tiling in hours

    Prepping Floor boards / No More ply

    No more ply is fantastic we use to use hardi but changed to NMP due to their system being fast track, simple and complete. if you get the chance try their 22mm cement board replacing standard T&G..you wont look back
