    Important Changes to Tiling Standards

600 rectified tiles? Most definitely needs a tile leveling system for a superior finish. The reason he used 7mm grout lines was an attempt to limit lipage. 2mm grout lines (max3) with zero lipage should have been the goal

Split Face Tiles - wall prep?

if overboarding with backer board make sure they are mechanically fixed as well as bonded with adhesive…. or you are just adding to the weight on the skim 1586461881 ….but I think if you get about 90% of that paper off it will be fine to tile on once u have sealed with sbr or similar

Dot and Dob applied ceramic tiles in a bathroom

all depends on the quality and integrity of tile and grout. at very least you should seal grout with a quality sealer. I think you will always have the wet circle problem until you ripout and redo.prob board walls before tiling if they cold

Dot and Dob applied ceramic tiles in a bathroom

the cold from the wall is transferring thro the adhesive to the tile which is condensating causing the wet circle. The air pocket between the dabs is acting as a barrier hence warmer spot around the dabs. once heating is on the tiles uniformly warm so no condensation.... just my thoughts

In her defence the local screed contactor told her no need. So I got in touch with manufacturer and they said same, as long as commissioning process is followed to the letter, but they wouldn't discourage me from using one 😏

Nice looking work. Because they so porous will back buttering be enough? My worry is the tile absorbing to much moisture before adhesive sets
