    You might have timber decay issues, as their is some evidence of staining around nails in the timber flooring. In any case you will need to get under the floor to inspect.

    If that’s your only issue with the tiling works, you could consider fixing a face plate surround that goes behind the switch plate and will conceal the grouting.

    Laying 20mm porcelain tile externally on a well compacted base of hardcore and scalping on a cement and sharp sand bed is fine provided the tile is primed first before setting. no knowledge on the norcros product.

    Forgot to mortar down insulation board to floor....

    Think l would remove and bed with adhesive and screw, because if there is air trapped between boards and flooring, the action of moving on the floor will create a bellows type of effect the trapped air has nowhere to go,thus stressing the system, if you get my drift.

    Efflorescence in new Grout.

    Difficult to tell from the picture, efflorescence normally forms crystal like structures from moisture that has evaporated from the surface. May well be lime bloom as you say it’s a hard water area. In any case you should be able to obtain a chemical product to deal with it.
