The grout is white and suffering from cooking stains so will be redoing. Was thinking of using epoxy but from research some people say it go's yellow after a time and if I want to replace it its a problem to get out. So looking again at normal grout but with a good sealer. But which one ? Its...

How do I Join this 45 degree (ish)

Finally got round to posting the results. One thing that through me was that the light grey tiles were very slightly smaller that the dark grey. The area is not square - well it was just about square on 3 sides but the side with the slope was not square also the slope width was not the same and...

    topps tiles crystal anthracite Porcelain

Finally got round to posting these It was broken in 3 pieces. I first shamphered off the back of the bits then temporally held them together with superglue so that I could apply fibreglass without it moving. Then a couple of layers of fibreglass Then I had to fill in the chipped missing parts...

    ...Tiling efficiency

The biggest one for me - when doing any building work is that I am never near a pencil. I did try buying loads and sprinkling them around the working area but somehow they all end up in the same place - which is NOT where I am. I now use one of those retractable key/ski pass things and attach my...

    Advice on replacing one tile

I have done this many times before and the last time with random length rustic oak flooring that had dark and light planks, lounge hall and diningroom I would come across some that were much darker than others and saved them all up and fitted them all in one room, because just like that light...

Sorry not used it but I think that completely clear silicones are not that common, so the chart I would think is good to go by. Lets see if a user replies

    Dust and eye protection masks

Based on this thread and the very good reviews on screwfix I have just brought a force 8 and like many of the reviews say I wish I had brought one years ago. It feels so weird having a mask on and not breathing back my own hot damp air or altering my breathing cause I am forcing it through a...

    Emergency Sanding options

I suddenly realise that I need smooth off a cut edge from PEI rating of 5 full bodied porcelain. So what is the best option of a product that I can get from Screwfix or Toolstation. I have got on well with wet and dry paper before by hand but only on ceramic. Tool wise I have angle grinder...

    Tile Levelling Spacers (Again)

I am using 1.5mm clips and 3mm spacers that I use like a peg - so I don't push them in as a flat cross. I am far too messy to use the clip as the spacer.
