Thanks for the replay!. In the end I did jackoboard 12 mm on walls, dot and dab then screw. And on the floor, I take our the floor board luckily, and joist where rotten, I replace all of them and I made it strong and movement free, on top 18 mm ply plus 6mm hardy backer. About the plugs and...

I've not done pvc cealing, but I use to make them in aluminium. We use to tile first then rest the cealing on top of the tile edge, not sure if it will work with pvc as I didn't use it. Would be good if you share the way you'll do and the experience, allwais good to learn !
Hello again. I went to the job yesterday and I make a couple of holes. Looks like a screed , old, dry and sounds solid. The paint looks like bitum, most of it is like 1mm thick, a couple of small patches is like 3 or 4 mm.
