Tiling Rates Per Square Meter - How much does tiling cost?

I generally start around £30 p/m2 for basic stuff, increasing for large format, planks, stone etc. Try to aim for £185 a day for all prep work & laborious stuff.

    Anhydrite laitence removal

The UFH has already been commissioned, the guy that came to remove the laitence also checked the moisture with a couple of devices. He's a commercial flooring contractor & deals with these screeds all the time so I trust him.

    Anhydrite laitence removal

Thanks for the replies, I've had someone out to inspect it, an old school friend in the flooring industry, who confirmed it needs sanding properly with a heavy duty copper teeth wheel or suchlike! So that's happening later this week & get a day or 2 of not looking at tiles!

    Anhydrite laitence removal

In the shadowed one is how the majority ofnthe floor looks, in the other you can see a small lighter patch where i had scratch at it with a key. Hope this is helpful

It does have wet UFH and has been commissioned correctly, the floor has been down for around 16 -17 weeks. Ive had a little scratch at it & i have to admit I can't really tell!

    Anhydrite laitence removal

Yes it's that damned gypsum screed! The builder assured me it's been sanded & laitence removed all bar one room. I'm on site today and they've got a guy using an electric hand sander with 80 grit paper. I don't think that's manly enough, how can I tell if the laitence has been taken down...

Tiling over wet UFH between joists

HardiFloor is the best way to go, no expansion or flex issues that you'd have with ply as its far more stable. As some have already said, its thermal conductivity is better than ply also. It does come in 19mm or 22 mm so height shouldn't be an issue. With marble going down I personally would fit...

    Glass cutting blade?

I am very well thanks, trust that you are too? Wow, the schluter course, has it really been that long?! Had a conversation with Colin at Kwiksplit earlier about the Monty blades, after seeing 2 mentions from you guys too I think thats what I'll go for. Probably the MC blade as it'll sit unused...

    Glass cutting blade?

Evening all, I don't post anywhere near as often as I should, but I need a little guidance with this! I'm looking to purchase a good glass cutting blade for a grinder or wet cutter, preferably the grinder though. What can anybody suggest? Thanks

Winters Here.fingers Starting To Split !!!!

If you can cope with your hands smelling like chocolate, Palmer's Cocoa Butter is really good - my other half used it during pregnancy for stretchmarks! - or good old E45 aqueous cream. Whatever you use you're doing the right thing, I've seen a couple of older guys with dried out & badly scarred...

The smaller Dewalt DAB radio is my weapon of choice, great sound & enough volume for the larger multiple-trades-all-on-one-job with loads of noise!

    Black Grout NIGHTMARE!!

Black grout should definitely be banned, just as others have said I also keep a separate bucket, sponge & stained float for it, after having to bin a couple of each in the past! White / Ivory on walls, grey on floors. Those are the rules!
