Has anyone seen self leveling compound fail? I've looked at a floor tiling job and the leveling compound laid 24 hrs ago is crumbling and dusty, it disintegrates when swept in places.
What is the cause of this and how can it be fixed?

Hi everyone. Been on an ensuite that I created for a customer. Shower, basin, toilet. 24m2 walls, 4m2 of floor all in ceramic. Every day I've had at least one niggle with customer about something or other on my tiling. I think it's fine. Ive used bagged adhesive, walls are all primed also. I...
I've used Elite Trims twice now as where i used to use stopped delivering to the IOW. Quick delivery and great prices. Beats paying over the odds in a tile shop!
hi. i have a 25 m floor coming , quartz, i was wondering what you would use for a two part adhesive .in the past i have used the tops two part flexible adhesive but that has been on relatively small areas and i never liked working with tops own adhesives, i usually use weber or bal. the tops...
I have got wind of an enquiry today. A customer has got 600x300 glazed porcelain tiles that they are trying to drill a 6mm hole into.
They have tried dry bits, wet bits with a cooling system, loose tiles from the front and back, fitted tiles, tape, a drill clamp...... but the tile just...

I'm fitting a walk in shower this week and it is the first i've done!
I'm read up and taken in all of the information on here i hope. I've pulled the existing sub floor up to install the drains and move pipe work and for ease I was going to ply and over board with PCS boards.

I have a job where the customer would like their exterior porch area walls tiled. The walls I guess are not directly exposed to the elements although the Porch area is open (no door as its a sheltered area at the front door).

Hi all,
I want to tile a hall/kitchen floor. Carpet has been removed to now the area is tongue and groove floorboards. What do you guys do in this situation? Screw cement boards down or 6mm ply?
I'm to do a job shortly where the travertine tiles are supplied but apparently they are unfilled... I haven't seen them yet. Given that I have only ever fitted 'filled' travertine I am somewhat daunted at the prospect of a large floor requiring a lot of multi size stone tiles which might all...
I'm pricing a job atm where the customer would like the floor tiling from the kitchen straight into the bathroom.
The house was derelict for a long time and the floor is a mess.
My big concern is the serveral slabs etc, the floor height can be built up in SLC and bulked out with sharp sand in...

Hi all!
I'm about to start my second wet room and have been looking through the media section of the forum to try and get some ideas for lighting.
The room is very small, which is proving an issue in other ways (depth of basin, size of door / shower screen) dimensions approx 3m x .9m
The...
