Well, I was sent one to review by a member on here @Lucas D and yes his post was right, it's a great float, very slim and light with a great sharp rubber edge which removes grout very well, I can't comment on its durability but if it lasts ok I'll probably get another.

just had the pleasure of using a kubala 10mm notched trowel, I found it lighter than my Rubi trowel. It was easier to clean as it's made of stainless steel and the handle is all plastic.
I've only used it to lay 10m2 of floor tiles but will post another review in a few weeks time to see how well...

I received a kubala grout float to try and give a review.
In comparison to my Rubi float it had the same footprint size. But I noticed it was a lot lighter and it looked thinner.
I used it to grout 3.5m2 of floor tiles and found it incredibly light in my hand and was leaving very clean lines.
I...

I've been tiling for last 16 years or so. I've noticed that pro tilers use great tile cutters but often overlook hand tools. How often you bought trowel that lasted 2 jobs? I sometimes struggled with bad grout float for weeks. It all changed when I started to use Kubala tools from Poland.

Hi all,
As the title suggests really. I'm tiling a shower area above a bath using Bal SPF and noticed the instructions say you shouldn't use a shower for 2 weeks afterwards. Seems a long time to ask the tenant not to use his shower after it's finished-is it really necessary to wait that long...

good evening all,
I have always used Bal Micromax2 grout. Lately i have been having issues with the coloured grouts drying patchy. No matter what i do i can't stop it. So I'm thinking of changing to Tilemaster 3000 grout. Has anybody changed from bal because of the grout being patchy...
Hi.
I am looking to use a coloured BAL sealant (Micromax) to finish off my wet room. Within the spec sheet it states '
(a) Do not use shower for at least 2 weeks after completion of
grouting – BS 5385:Part 4'
And in another section it mentions a minimum of 7 days to use the shower.
Walls...

Hi
I usually use Bal grip plus tile adhesive but my client is buying Mapegrip D2 tile adhesive. I have not used the Mapegrip D2 before. I am tiling a whole bathroom including the shower area. The Mapegrip D2 looks ok
Does anyone have any comments
Thanks
Paul
The wife wants to renew kitchen wall and floor tiles and we have been looking for a few weeks now. I don't get to pick :( I just have to fix them! She still hasn't found what she wants so we were into Topps tiles today, one that I have never been in and for a change had on normal clothes and...

Hello.
I am looking for a suitable grout for a bathroom which contains a wet shower area.
I was looking at the BAL range of grouts and felt MicroMax 2 (gunmetal shade) would be suitable but given the many types BAL advertise I wasn't sure it was the best choice.
I had thought to use the same...

Seems BAL are giving this forum lark another go. 4 admins, 18 or so moderators. 40 threads. That's two threads each to moderate. And most of the threads have no replies, and are nearly all done by staff.
Their attempt to get the PVA v Primers discussion going shows why it's hard for a company...
as above , got an 80mm sand and cement screed to tile, been recommended I use an acrylic primer to help the adhesive bond with the slab. Went to topps tiles today and asked for acrylic primer, got home and realised they have given me bond, it does say can be used to seal screeds, but just...

The football season starts this weekend which means less weekend work and more boozing...... Who do we all follow then and how do you think your team will do this year, I am a Wigan fan and predict a struggle but won't be relegated.

Hi ya guys!
I live in a flat, and as such I have to run most structural things by a maintenance company for approval.
I recently decided to fix my leaking balcony, and had a builder and roofer come around. The overall opinion was a combo of an old patio door allowing water in through rotten...
