Bitumen on floor
Hi Guys, After pulling up lino of the floor, this also pulled up the vinyle tiles, leaving bitumen. Bitumen is non tacky, hence they came up with ease. I have heard the words "PCI Primer on here". :huh2: I have a floor to tile but the problem is it is concrete but the tiles have been down that long there is like a bitumen/ tar on the floor so my question is do I scrap the floor with a heat gun and scraper and try and get It clean or do I put a self levelling screed down over it the floor...- jimmy495

bitumen residue on floor screed
I've taken up some old thermoplastic floor tiles laid in the early 70's. This has left a black bitumenous residue on the concrete screed and I'm concerned about tiling onto it.
