    I am going to have to lay off my lads and go out on my own for a while as the last couple of months have heen really tough getting paid from builders, all have the same story "sorry mate we are waiting for money when it comes in you will get yours" why dont they tell you this before the job...

    had a builder on the phone, wants a quote for a biggish job, ive never worked for him before and after getting stung a few times last year i'm a bit more cautious about who I work for, what do you do if quoting for work from builders you don't know to prevent yourself from getting ripped off..

    So I turns up to fit a bathroom and tile the walls...blind mind..and he present's me with a difference of 22mm where he wants me to tile over tiles and part wall..and so its 2 mm proud so he can skim up to tiles on far right,where he has left the wooden pillar in...tiles are 8mm !..don't you...

    Oh how I love builders!!!

    Started a conservatory floor today. Screed laid by builder who then tried to disguise the obvious by pouring a couple of bags of poor quality SLC. Pics speak for themselves :yikes: Good old Mapei Ultraplan Renovation screed to the rescue yet again :thumbsup:

    Do you need builders!!!

    I get fed up with builders...your always up against things...Plumber needs to get back in the bathroom, Kitchen fitter needs to start :mad2: Then when customer see's the finished job they strut around taking all the praise. How many of you guys get your own work and do not work for builders?
