Hello all,
Please see the attached pictures. I am a Diy'er.
The Wall - multi finish - painted.
The worktop - laminated chipboard.
I want to create a black-splash (including the side of the sink) to protect the rear/side of the chipboard worktop from water that could potentially get through...

Hello everyone,
This is my first post ever, and what a stinker of a problem it is!
I removed the laminated chipboard kitchen counter top that the sink sits in. On the wall are the tiles - in which the 10 yr. old grout has failed.
I almost laid an egg!

Have been looking at these for ages !! Has anyone used these or similar ? Spoke to David, he says the initial outlay for wedges which are re-useable will eventually make you quids in with time saving getting your tiles bang on level and not having to lift and re-bed.
Always willing to try new...

OK, so further to my last thread about large format tiles on a kitchen splashback, the other half got her way (shock). She has came home with 500mm x 500mm porcelain today. The problem I see with this is that the cooker and distance between the cabinets is 600mm wide. This means if I center...
The other half is adamant that she wants larger tiles for the splashback I am planning on doing this weekend as she wants minimal grout lines. I have had a look online and cant really find much in the way of inspiration. I know the norm is to use smaller sized tiles but was wondering if any...

I am having full pedestal basin replaced this week and I would like to have a small tile backsplash to go with the tiles already installed on the other wall, but I do not have them now and won't be able to get them for a while. Is it ok to install the backsplash after the basin have been already...
I know we have discussed these items...all brands but seeing as there are mixed reviews from new tilers and established tilers.
I have a job coming up soon where I have a very good price in. So I thought it could be an ideal job to try for myself but not sure which system to try.. Any thoughts...

Hello to all! I'm a newbie here, looking for some advice on a small problem I can't solve!
I am finishing my bathroom project, which is a complete revamp! I have installed fitted units all along one wall with inset washbasins in the worktop. I am putting a splashback along the worktop, one tile...

The kids love to splash about in the tub and although I should be throttling them around the head:7:, inevitably water will run down the side of the bath onto the floor. What is the best technique for finishing the joint between the floor tiles and the bath panel to keep water running under bath...

Our stainless steel splashback above the cooker was really mucky with grease splats. Sprayed it with a kitchen grease cleaner and left it to soak for a few minutes. Was cleaning it with the sponge side of one of those washing up pads, but some of it was real stubborn so without thinking turned...
Just a general question as ive got the same one on TTA at the mo
Do you have rules and standards in regard to glass (all one sheet not tiles) splash backs in relation to gas cookers
as they must have a non combustible surface behind glass or stainless steel and does this imply to glass tiles

hi, my kitchen floor tile grout is looking a bit dull.
I've gone over the whole floor with a stiff brush and mixture of soap, bleach and water and its brought it all up nice and bright, apart from around the oven and hob where it is still dull.
I think its from oil splashes etc as the...
I'm starting a job tmw...where the customer wants a glass splashback which will be cut to size in in the cooker hood area then tiles on either side...
I'm not sure how thick the glass splashback is, but the tiles are 9.5mm plus 4mm apprx adhesive..apprx 14mm total. How will I bring the glass...
I am going to attempt a small tiling job myself in the bathroom of bath and basin splashbacks, plus shower splashbacks. Any recommended materials to use for a novice women tiler - or advice? Thanks peeps xx
Are larger tiles easier to work with, anyone recommend the best tile cutter?

Hi,
I'm new to the forum.
We recently hired a Tiler who I got in touch with through another forum and he has done a poor job.
What happened was we were quoted £*** by one company to do the splash-back in our newly fitted kitchen, I asked on this other forum in tiling section how much it...
