Hi wonder if anyone can help me. I'm having some travetine stone mosaics put in my bathroom and when I asked the plumber if he was going to seal them, he said he would do this after grouting. Is this correct, I thought they were supposed to be sealed before and after grouting or doesn't it...

some say yes,some say test it some say no

I have a stone tiler fixing some carrara bianco in my bathroom.
He says it's not necessary to seal the tiles before grouting and that he's done it many times without problems (He has 25 yrs experience in stone work)
However you have previously recommended to me that the tiles be sealed...

got another bonus tonight when a guy phoned to confirm a sandstone floor i had priced,the only problem is these look like an inbetweeen of tiles and paving slabs!
what would the best sealer for these be? and it's not to be a colour enhancer!
You can protect your grout by simply applying a grout sealer.
LTP have just the product to help with this and it comes in an aerosol which will make it easier for the DIY or trade to use.
This simple to use product will give longer lasting colour protection and ease of maintenance..

We have blue quartz tiles on our bathroom floor. We were told by the tile shop that they need sealing. Just sealed them with Fila sealant and we have been buffing them for days but tiles are still not shiny! You can see footprints and everything! Help??
