Hi I have a floor tile problem , fine cracks in the floor tiles recently laid due to flexure. The tiles were laid onto wide tongue and grooved boarding and which was heavily screwed down, flexible recommended adhesive then applied. Should we tile over as we dont want to rip the tiles up.

Is it normal for large polished light cappuccino marble tiles 60x40 to have cracks in the front surface of some of these tiles that are supposedly premium quality?

I have just tiled a shower using rapid set Mapei cement and 150mm * 70mm white bonded tiles onto a soid ashlar wall. Having grouted with grey grout I can see that about 10 tiles have hairline cracks. Two of these cracks continue across two tiles so would dictate that cracks were not on the tiles...

Unfortunately we have now discovered about five tiles that have cracks appearing in them. One crack - at the conservatory end starts in the grouting...

Hi I'm new and need of advice!
I have a new conservatory completed at the end of last year. After allowing the 100mm concrete to dry, I primed and fixed 50mm Fastwarm insulation boards using Ultra RS flexible adhesive, layed out the underfloor heating cable and covered it in approx 7 mm of...
I am stumped. I am selling my house and the inspector noticed straight cracks through my travertine tile upstairs in my master bath 3 ft apart. What could have caused this?
Do I need to replace it all, or is it still safe and just cosmetically not great to look at?
Help.... There are about 5...
Hello--I am a homeowner who has recently had a new kitchen installed in a Victorian house, including a new modular travertine floor (724cm x 224cm) over a suspended floor. I have outlined the materials used and where the cracks are--if anyone has any advice, we'd be really grateful, as it has us...

Hi everyone.
18 months ago our building work was complete and the kitchen floor (approx 10m x 5m) tiled in some very expensive Travertine. 12 months ago, cracks appeared running across the floor (across multiple tiles) parallel to the run of the joists and coinciding directly with the edges of...

Hi,
floor laid about 2 weeks ago. It looks great.
However, I'm not sure whether all things are OK
I think that some of the tiles seem to have very small hairline cracks about 2- 3 inches into the side of the tile. There are about 6 tiles with the slight crack.
I just need a bit of...
