Ordered a new Sigma 3C3M max cutter, has max handle as standard but I see you can purchase a Klick Klock handle for it. What does this do that the max handle doesn't? Is it worth having both?
Has any one on here used the new bosch ptc 470 or 640?
I have just seen them advertised alot lately, and bosch tools are usually top notch.
Only reason im thinking it may be a gimic is the price £100 for the 470 and £150 for the 640
Just wondering if they could be a future player in the tile...

Hi, I have a sigma and the bar that the wheel runs along has been caught and it is stopping the handle for the cutting wheel from running at all along the bar. Does anyone know of a place in the south east, preferably near Maidstone, that could maybe repair something like this? Failing that, a...

Got a bargain job lot of tools off gumtree the other day & was interested to find a Genesis dry cutter in there.
Never heard of them but seems OK quality for a budget cutter.
Anybody else got any experience with them?
Bearings roll good on solid rails, guides are useless and extension legs look...
so I'm currently undertaking a project at the moment with 1800 x 800 x 10mm Florim porcelain.
This tile is harder than Ray Winston and Bob Hoskins rolled in to one! :)
Anyway my point is that it's extremely brittle, as hard as it is.
One piece in particular was giving me sleepless nights when...

I've always used a wet cutter to cut my tiles where ever my dry rail cutter can't do. I've always done that as that is how I got shown. My question is is that the norm. Do you guys use wet cutters or do you use angle grinders ?? Which is really what my question is about. I've never...

Someone already used these ?.
is a long time I wanted to try them,
But I never did, now, I've seen a good deal.
tempted to try. Sigma recommends,
knurled, tile over 6 mm thick.
And smooth for thin porcelain.
Morning all,
Recently purchased a norton clipper tt200em used it for the first time yesterday and it seemed to quiet badley chip every tile I cut. Is the supplied blade usually this bad? I was only cutting metro tiles. What would be the best blade to replace?
Cheers Dave
I bought a 3B4M MAX on the 05.01.17 for a small bathroom job at home as it's took ages to complete ( rather than hiring one ).
It hasn't done many cuts and the cuts it has done have been in 10mm ceramic.
This is the size of the room to give you an idea of what the cutter has done...

There was a nice man from Italy doing demo for montolit cutters, I got to say I was very impressed with it especially cutting thin strips of porcelain.
Not for sale by me, but at a Cash Converters near me, Tolworth to be exact.

It's up for £189.00 about £60 off retail, which is still cheap tbh.

has anyone on here got a Rubi magnet cutter? I'm looking to get Rubi tr600 magnet but a Rubi Rep has recommended I get the tr710 magnet as the tr600 you can only just get a 600tile in it?
Just looking for some advice before I buy a new cutter.
Has anyone used the new
Rubi TR-710 Magnet??
If so please give a review. I've heard they are the best Rubi yet ? Which is hard to believe being a rubi TS 60 user.
Cheers
Hi Everyone,
Thought I'd start another thread, rather than clutter my other 2 up! Which will hopefully be useful for any other newbies looking for advice.
Looking for a porcelain tile cutter that will cut the majority of tiles (approx. 600mm x 300mm x 10mm).
I appreciate I may need a wet...
