Bought one this week got to say excellent tool, iam currently tiling a bathroom floor with 1200x600 porcelain and it cuts with ease, no chips.
was at b&q today straight to the tools section as usual :drool5: doing this dewalt 18v with 2 batteries for £70 + vat at the trade point counter. Cant be bad so i bought one only takes 1/2 an hour to charge dont think they will be around for long!
Whilst i'm quiet i'm thinking of hiring my dewalt out to fellow tilers probably within 20-30 mile radius, obviously i'd want a decent deposit until returned and was going to try and keep it a pretty informal arrangement. Am i dreaming, is it already being done on a pro level, is there a market...

The honeymoon is over with this new machine, it is good , but there are few things that need sorting. With the 300x300 stuff , no probs, but I needed some angle cuts from 600x600, seriously limited, as has been mentioned, distance between motor head and arm, also the rolling bed is not long...
Goodbye yellow Dewalt drill... You served us well for 4 years.
You were even manhandled by Peter Jones on Dragons Den.
Actual 365drills drill being manhandled by Peter Jones.
One last photo for the scrap book....
And its time to say hello to the shiny and new Makita 18v replacement drill...
Theres a few of us on here who have been looking at the various 'bullnosing profile wheels that are out their on ebay etc but theres been concern as to whether they'll fit our eu models... Alot of them are selling from the usa so, i have contacted dewalt regarding the difference between the usa...
yes its ok we started using it today on the j&j tiles 200x200 and one wheel missing has had no affect as yet !!! and the leaking has got a lot better due to smaller tiles
Hi
I've decided to go with the Dewalt D24000 tile saw and thought a thread to discuss hints/tips and accessories might be useful.
As with any product, people using them everyday develop little tricks to make them work better.
Also people seem to find obscure accessories that makes life so much...
Hi
i found out on friday that the dewalt dw060k - Tile laser square is being discontinued by dewalt..
there is not many left, so if you have been thinking about buying a laser square for floor tiling/setting out, then dont hang about too long..
heres the one ...
Can anyone steer me in the right direction please?
I've recently had a couple of full bodied porcelain jobs, both by co-incidence have been 600 x 600, and on both jobs I have experienced issues with the edge of the tiles sheering away right at the end of a cut (see pic).
I've replaced...
well i did get one in the end but not from TT he did not have any in when i wanted one :mad2:
anyway when it came it looked a bit bulky so we , opened and assemble it then i thought oh-no it looks weird anyway i was pleased with how it all came-apart and fitted in to the drain tray , but when we...
Hi all. Been pricing around for the Dewalt 2400 wet cutter and noticed that My Tool Shed have both the 110v and 240v models with stand for £689 inc VAT until end of the month. Is this a good price or are there better deals out there. The only downside I noticed was that it only came supplied...
Hi all...quick question to anyone owning a Dewalt D2400. How much space do they take up when transporting? I need a new wet cutter and everyone seems to rate this machine...I can afford the cutter but not the new van if it won't fit into my dispatch!!!! Thanks in advance.
Currently doing a 77m marble job, the tiles are 20mm thick, the cutter has a brand new blade on it and its not cutting too well, it struggles to go through these tiles, very time consuming things to cut, the problem maybe a 10m extensaion lead, there are no plugs nearby and possibly a loss of...
Hi Everyone, look what happened to my new Dewalt today, only had it about a week :yikes:
I was cutting a L shape cut, as you know it doesn't cut the last few mm of the cut due to the radius of the blade so the cut piece stays attached to the tile (usually), I then lifted the tile out the...
some one asked the other day how these two blades compare to each other when fitted to the dewalt d24000. so i have tried them both back to back on a few different tiles and here is my findings.
Porcelain tile grade 5 15mm thick
dewalt blade
90 degree cuts
very good fine clean crisp cuts and...
Just started using my dewalt, and its fantastic the best money i have ever spent.
wondered if anyone has any tips about cutting mitered joints on it?
i've been cutting them and noticed that its not completley strainght.
I spent ages adjusting the machine to get it exactly at a right angle...
I've just set up my Dewalt 24000 I was shocked at first by how big it looks!
either I'm small or the bloke in the dewalt video is big, it just dont look that big in the video when he's setting it up!
cant wait to use it :drool5:
is it right the main body just sits in the tray or have I missed...
