hi guys,
i was looking at buying a self leveling system from www.simplyufheating.com , i have asked about tiling on the back of the self leveling.
is it okay to have the heating on in any fashion or will the heat affect the adhesive or self leveling?
Many thanks
Hi there,
tried searching but didn’t really get a clear answer to an issue I’m having with self levelling compound (Level Quick RS).
we pour it about 12 hours ago but it’s starting to flake off on some areas and some are still wet when you touch it. It should be walkable after 4hrs so I’m...
Hello all! I don't usually use forums so bear with me.
I've tiled my downstairs toilet, I grouted the floor tiles spaced at 3mm using a grey Mapei Keracolor SF. It was the first time I'd grouted but I'd followed a lot of advice online and it went down great and I was really happy with the...
Hi all, this is my first post on here although in attempting to Google answers to my questions I have come across several threads on this forum already which were really helpful. So now I thought it'd help to get advice specific to my situation...so here goes. These are all in relation to an...
I forgot to post this last week. The screed is a yellow colour so identifiable if you come across it on site....

Hello all.... quick question. I have a customer who's built a new home. I've tiled the walls and have the floors still to do. They're 50mm anhydrite incorporating piped underfloor heating. The floor was poured in December and heating has been on for a few weeks now. However, I put down my...

hi all
I’m hoping for some technical advice on screeds and commissioning wet underfloor heating.

Hi,
I have read several threads, but am still unsure of what to do with my bathroom.
I have 400mm x 400mm X 9mm porcelain tiles to use on my bathroom walls. The walls are bare brick, but uneven so I am going to batten them and screw boards onto this.
I haven't bought the boards yet, and was...
Gents, got a floor I'm on at the moment, 2 oak posts into the ground that are still green, what practice would you carry out when cutting around them? Allowance for drying out
How long do you think it will take to dry out this screed? Been down 90 days, 50mm thick so should have been dry at 60 days! Plastering has been going on so can't have helped? This is what the tramex read a few days ago. Got dehumidifier in and getting customer to get the pipe temp up to 50...
Was wondering how long until I could tile a liquid screed. I hear its 1 day per mm depth. Is that right? Any specific primer needed for liquid screed? Im tiling limestone on top of it. Thanks for advice in advance
I've only ever used tilemaster tanking kit so I can't comment on others but what I am finding it the paste dries so fast on the walls, when it comes to applying the corner tape, you need to really paste up the back of the tape or you have no chance. You can literally paste the whole wall with...

I have done searches but either I'm not searching for the right thing or I'm wearing my blonde wig. Or both!
An existing customer has asked me to price tiling a new conservatory. I have yet to visit the site but the information I have to date is:-
"We estimate that there is about 8” concrete...
Hi all, was just wondering out of pure curiosity how long people leave slc before they tile? Tilemaster's Rapid 30 is the only one I tile on same day. Most others state they cure in around 3 hours and are good to go. Others say cure in 3 hours but don't tile for 8. I always tile next day, don't...
Hi All
I have been to see a job last week,90m2 ground floor kitchen/conservatory. It will be,when it is laid, a 60mm sand/cement screed over wet ufh over insulation over a block and beam floor.
Unfortunately the lady of the house was not aware of the drying times for the screed and was expecting...
