I was in a friends shop the other day, the salesman from RAK was in there with a new range of floor tiles. 600x300 porcelain floor tiles 4.5mm thick.
If it has 100% coverage then it might be fine but is it too thin?
I have never seen such a thin floor tile and wondered if any one else has?

Have just lifted ceramic floor tiles from the bathroom prior to replacement with new tiles.
The tiles have come off but most of the adhesive is still left attached to the floor. The adhesive seems very firmly attached and removing it is proving very difficult - it is impossible to do it (using...

We are installing wetrooms in private flats in a new build project. The bathrooms are on a concrete slab, we have a screed layer of around 110mm within which to place the shower waste, and slope for the shower drainage. I want to avoid having to use any prefab trays or proformas. My...

I really need to get on and get the kitchen floor tiled now as I've been putting it off getting everything else sorted.
I thought we were going for some 600 x 600 polished black porcelain jobbies but I'm not sure how practical they will be in the kitchen with the glossy finish...

Hi all,
First time tiling my bathroom floor and wall so have been doing a lot of research to try and do it correctly first time! What I am hoping to do is to align the wall and floor tiles (i.e. line up the grout gaps). However, from what I understand the grout gap on the floor is typically...

I have started my first floor tiling project but I am worried that the adhesive is not setting properly!
I have laid down an area of tiles which, although the exposed adhesive around the edges has set hard, the adhesive under the tiles seems to be staying soft. I had to take up one of the...

Hi,
I wonder if anyone could give me some advice. We have recently had a wet room fitted. Two months after the installation, we noticed that a tile had cracked (not in the actual showering area, but immediately adjacent to it). The tiler insists that we must have dropped something on the...
Hi, I’m hoping someone here can point me in the right direction with this problem. Some time back we had a leaking heating pipe under a tile floor, unfortunately we only had one spare tile and in spite of extensive enquiries we could not find any more. We took the decision to completely...

About a year ago, I was sent info on a replacement method of fixing floor tiles. Instead of the standard adhesive and grout, the company produced rubber discs which were placed one each corner + one central which spaced them equally. Instead of grout, silicone was used in between the tiles...

Hi,
What would be the best adhesive to use for 600mm x 600mm by 10mm thick floor tiles. The floor is concrete/asphelt, it is pretty level and I intend on using self levelling compound for any uneven areas.
Ready Mixed or Powder?
Cheapest place to buy?
The tiles are porcelain so I may need to...
