So Butech have launched their antifracture mat.
They have also very kindly supplied videos of their product. :)
Now whilst there maybe slight issues with the actual videos, they do show quite clearly how a mat can help.
I have asked questions about one of the videos, but they have been side...
Hi all
Been a bit quiet on posting. 800x120 plank 105mts. Priced a job on the basis it would be random planks for x. It will now be Herringbone without border starting from patio doors ending up where it will. (Customers decision). Imo it is easier than random no need for clips unless bowed cos...

Hi.
The walls in my ensuite are coming along well...
Just thinking about the floor now.
The original tiled floor was tiled over thin sheets of plywood. The ply was on top of T&G chipboard.
Is it ok to tile on plywood? I seem to be coming across articles or posts that suggest not.

Is it correct that paint-on tanking products for a floor require more than one coat, with subsequent drying time between coats?
If that's the case, would I be correct in thinking that a waterproof matting product adhered to the floor timber before tiling is quicker to put in place?
Thanks.

Been seeing a few tilers posting wetrooms on twitter with no wall tanking. I've always tanked anything deemed to be a wet area, whether wall or floor, in a wetroom and wondering where the rest of you stand.
Twitter is a bit back slappy imo, with nobody telling anybody they're doing it wrong...
I have 3-4 choices from the "builders depot " . wondering if most are roughly the same or one stands out as been really "better "

This tiling job is something I've put to one side for ages. I'm hoping that somebody can do the job in the next couple of weeks. Please get in touch if you'd like to quote for this work.
THIS JOB IS A TEST JOB TESTING THE NEW SYSTEM OUT - IT ISN'T ACTUALLY A JOB I NEED DOING.
Anyone who's tiled with quarry tiles, or pilks 4 square or similar will know how easy it is to run out of line.
Sure fire way of keeping your tiles stright.....
We used to fit boat loads of smaller tiles this way back in the day.
Brought back memories tiling this job yesterday. :)
This may not be a solution if the floor is already laid due to the height increase but could be useful information to know if your involved prior to completion of the floor.
