I'm going to set something up tomorrow so that we can host all your videos, no matter how big or how long. Upload them for free. Not get lost amongst cat videos and stuff like they do on YouTube.
I'll rip all the good ones and host them on here.
Let people ask for us to take them down like...
Should I create a DIY forum to direct people away from this forum who are doing DIY jobs?
I could then make our three main forums (tilers, plumbers and electricians) all for professionals and trainees only. I think that's how most networks are doing it. So perhaps we do the same?
Your thoughts?
Hi all
I found my way here as i user the uk plumbers forum on a fairly regular basis for advice on my diy projects (not sure if the two are linked but the look pretty similar)
Anyway, ive done the plumbing part and now its time to start tiling so im here to hopefully get some useful tips off...
Forum may lag a little while I'm installing a new search engine.
Once it's done I'll update this post with some commands you can use which will help you find content easier. A bit like the commands you'd use to search Google, eBay and Amazon etc.
Edit: It should be complete now.
Some search...

I'm upgrading the plumbers forum and it might keep knocking us offline from time to time as I restart various services and systems on the servers.
Hang in there if the page doesn't load. Give it 30 seconds and try again. Keep smashing refresh will screw up your cache your end and could cause...
ElectriciansForums.net keeps knocking us offline. I've installed a blog on it, and it's crossing-over two databases. And they keep failing to communicate properly and it knocks all of the server offline.
I've suspended the hosting of ElectriciansForums.net while I repair the databases and dig...
Hello all.
I'm relatively new to tiling, but have been a plumber for a while. I have done small bits of tiling before when I was helping out with kitchen fitting etc. I'm now looking to take on more tiling jobs on whole bathroom refurbs and look forward to absorbing all the wealth of knowledge...
I can't find the other thread. But it's redundant not anyway as I've reduced the prices.
Subscribing to the forum not only helps us by way of having some cash to buy add-ons and pay developers to code custom things for us, but it also removed ALL Google advertisements, and removes the sponsors...
Hi, our forum runs on passion. And we hope you're here to join in.
Please leave your tiling questions for the main forums. But post a quick introduction about why you're here, where you found us, whether you're pro or DIY, what kind of job you've got on, that kind of thing.
Expect the tilers...
With the fact that for years many of our top posters were rewarded for replying with a quick hello, the help they did back then, right up until last week, was going to affect their Post to Reaction ratio with our Two New Tags we have in place.
So I've section off the old Welcome Forum. You can...
The legendary Trusted Advisors Forum has been removed. The tag still remains and those members who have the tag now, and get the tag in the future, should have their advice trusted. Just the actual forum category that was hidden for 95% of the forum and seldom got used has been removed...

Take a look see what you think.
Let me know if there's anything missing that you think would be handy to have.
Click the smilie in the main text area and you will now get a whole new menu at the bottom. It'll show your recently-used smilies first. And if you click the down arrow you can search for smilies too, to make sure you get the right ones. :) :tophat::briefcase::gradcap::eyeglasses::sunglasses:

The main parts of the forum upgrade are complete and have gone well. We will be tweaking for weeks now but you're all okay to post and whatnot. The JOTM software we used wasn't portable. So we're looking for something else to replace it. In the meantime we're considering setting it up as it used...
hello,
Ayrshire tiler for about 11 years. Found the website while trying to find some information and thought I would join. Hopefully I can learn some new things and I can help others that may be new to tiling.
For any experienced tilers, any advice on how to price Victorian tiles or a rough...
