Hi, We're currently adding an en-suite to a downstairs bedroom, everything is going well so far, BUT, ive encountered a small problem? To install the en-suite, obviously we've had to put in a stud wall, which is plumbed perfectly and the shower base fits in like a glove. However when we were...
Hello and thanks for your time.
When the shower metal frame (that will hold the glass wall) is placed plumb along the tiled wall, you can see that the tiled wall is uneven. The top and bottom touches the tile wall but in the middle there is a huge 2cm gap between the metal and wall. Basically...
Hello everyone.
My building had bricking work done on the outside and it seems in the process they've yanked the shower window away from where it was seated before. Creating this gap between the tile and exterior frame. How do I fill this gap? Should I use grout or something else? Thank you!
WHOLE BATHROOM REFIT - ALL WALL FULL HEIGHT TILING AND TILED WINDOW LEDGES. ONE SMALL WINDOW & ONE LARGE WINDOW DIRECTLY OPPOSITE BATHROOM DOOR. PREVIOUS SILL HEIGHT & TILES WERE RIGHT UP TO WOODEN WINDOW FRAME (SEE LAST PHOTO WITH CLOCK)).
NEW TILES PLACED SO THAT WINDOW LEDGE HEIGHT WAS NOT...
We’re buying a renovated home, and the contractor recently (but not too recently - maybe 3 weeks ago) finished tiling the bathroom with large white marble tiles. Although they appeared to use white grout, it seems the moisture from the grout or maybe some sort of epoxy bled into the tile in what...
Hi just finished my tiling and now I need to fix the the architrave door trim. The tiles are proud of the door frame. Whats the best way to do this? Thanks
Hello!
I have a dilemma, and if you could help me with advice, I would be very grateful.
I am trying to install a feature wall, with two 120x250cm porcelain tile format, LED lights around the tiles and also would like to have my TV mounted on it. The original wall is an exterior plasterboard...
When you guys overboard the subfloor with a backer board, do you undercut the door frame in order to fit the backer board and tile/adhesive under?
also what do you use to hide the height difference between the tiled floor and whatever is in the adjacent room ( wood floor in my case)
Im...

Hello, I'm tiling a bathroom at home and the O.H wanted the tiles up to the edge of the door frame. I'd normally tile up to architrave but I ripped it off without much thought. As i was scraping the paint off the walls today i had a closer look and I'm not sure it will work out too well? Any...
Hi all.
I have a raised timber framed (bearers & joist & 450mm spacing ) patio with timber decking. We want to replace decking with tiles.
1st question. So compressed sheeting, water proof then tiling. Will that work?
2nd question. to get that slope for any water run off, how can it be done...

Hi all, just wanted to ask a quick question. When you guys tile a wall with a widow, do you tile the wall first or inside the window sill or is it just preference?
hi everyone..
So doing this wetroom.. have boarded the walls with 6mm jackoboard. Have boarded around the door frame and left the timber frame exposed.
So the board sits proud of the frame, as will the tiles.
Is it best to tile to the far edge of the door frame or up to where the frame...
Evening all,
I understand the weight limits for plasterboard, backer board etc, but....
I was wondering what is a reasonable weight limit for the actual stud partition wall? (As in, what's the limit before the framework starts crashing down) Is this something I should be considering on jobs...
I just wanted to post a quick introduction. My Husband and I are currently 'upgrading' the bathrooms in our new home as well as finishing the cloakroom. This will involve building a false wall to take a large wall hung basin and recessed mirror along with concealed lighting and complete tiling...
Just about to take on my first attempt at tiling and do my bathroom. The walls are in a pretty poor state under the old tiles so planning to use Marmox backing board fixed to solid wall to give me the best chance of an even finish without the need to get a plasterer and wait for the plaster to...

Hi, I had my bathroom updated however the builder disappeared before finishing it. The tiling has been completed but there is a gap of 1.5cm around the door frame and the wall tiles. What would I use to fill this gap please?
Thank you
I have built a frame work to box in a Geberit frame and continue across the semi inset sink and end of shower. Frame is solid and I am intending to cover with water resistant plaster board.
Should I also cover with plywood?
