in my earlier thread, I was looking for a tile cutter for professional use (my first one) and had about £200 to play with. After listening to all your feedback ive decided between the genesis and big clinker....But which is better????

Sigma 3c fails on polished porcs, genesis to the rescue lol! Set the breaker to the correct height, score 3 times all the way to the end but when snapping it keeps veering of about 20 mm from the end?? It's prob me but I'm not happy!

I was at a trade day at CTD yesterday morning and there was a rep from Genesis showing there new tiling tools and a new type of mat. The mat turned out to be there brand of plastic ply,:mad2:

I was in Boydens in Epsom a few days ago and saw the genesis single rail porcelian tile cutter on sale at a good price. I had a go at a few porcelian tiles they had, and a tile I had had problems with cutting and it cut well good.
The down side was that the wheel & clinker system are so bulky...

Looking for some advice regarding installation of this trim. It will be used in a 1200mm x 800mm shower enclosuse (alcove).
I have always just used Silicon but I am having doubts about making this waterproof. Anybody used it??

I know that Rubi make some great kit but here in Holland a TS 60 will knock you back +- 240 euros. However I can pick up the Genesis Pro 600 mm cutter for 79 euros. A considerable saving. Does anyone rate the Genesis cutters ?
Are they ok for heavy duty use ?

Genesis or Rubi? just back from Tenerife, great but getting very quiet,,used a Rubi TS out there, need a cutter here and not sure if it will be long term or not, read about the Genesis Pro 600, £95 delevered, less than half the price of Rubi TR600,,, Rubi is a great tool but never used...
