Used Granfix grout today, for the first time, and I've got mixed feelings about it! It powdered up on the tile surface ok, not to quick and not to slow, but stayed soft in the joints for most of the day (only 2mm joints by 8mm deep) making it damned awkward to give it a final buff over...
hi new to forum,im going to be laying 10mm calibrated 600x300 brazilian slate in 17sqm kitchen problem is the thickest ply i can use is 9mm ,this is on to sturdy floor boards,my question is am i better to use granfix fast set 1 part flexi which i can get for £15 for 20kg or am i better with...
Can anyone help me? I'm looking for a Granfix supplier in South London. I'm prepared for a longish journey, but as close as possible to Forest Hill would be good. From a web search I can't seem to find anywhere closer than Chiswick!

A cusomter has told me that he has purchased Granfix Maxi Grout in Limestone, he is under the impression that it is a creamy colour, i though it was more of a grey? Any one know for definate. He says the powder looks a cream colour, i dont want to open it and mix some to see incase it needs to...

Used Ultimateflex for the first time this week and I have to say I didn't find it too bad. It is a bit "sticky" when mixed correctly, but it is very fine. It has similar properties to Ardexflex 7001 but is not as course ( maybe about as fine in texture as Mosaic fix from BAL in fact).

Do you know whether Granfix multifix is up to the job for fixing glass mosaic tiles in a shower area?
I have a problem area where there is a ledge under a shower - water doesn't run off as quickly as on the walls.

just been advised by my regular supplier that they are changing from bal, as 2 expensive to granfix and nicobond
has anyone used any of their products, if so what, what are they like for grab etc
also what if any must be avoided at all costs

Grout Has Been Allowed To Dry On The Surface Of These Porcelain Tiles And Has Not Easily Been Removed By Hg. It Is Clear That Much Elbow Grease And Hg Will Work In The End But Is There An Easier Solution As The Area If Quite Large

It seems there have been a few reports related to granfix grouts drying patchy and it might be sensible to use a different make grout for the time being.
