I'm going to be putting a fairly heavy cast iron woodburning stove on this.
The surrounding floor is 19mm...

Just had an e-mail from a customer stating that they have chosen the above tiles for their kitchen floor, after I had quoted and agreed a price for porcelain.
I think they are polished so won't need sealing, but what other things do I need to take into account as I've not laid these before...
Hi,
I am about to embark on my first granite floor and a wall with some glass tiles.
Can somebody offer me the correct procedure for cutting, when to seal and with what for the granite and any other potential hazards.
Also, any similar info relating to glass tiles would be helpful.
Many thanks
I've picked up loads of wisdom here from the sages of tiling to rewrite a DIY Schedule of Works and would welcome any criticism, suggestions or alternative views from anyone before I start. I will donate THANKS to everyone responding.

Could anyone offer guidance to a capable DIYer on cutting granite tiles please?
I COULD use my B&D 4in Angle grinder with a diamond disc but I really want something to produce absolutely straight cuts to make upstands for the skirting. A bit less dust would be welcome, too!

Hi. I'm new to this forum (but I'm thick-skinned so be as frank as you wish!).
I want to lay around 10 sq metres of granite tiles in a garage conversion. I've gone for 10mm Absolute Black (305x305) from India. The floor is concrete (about 100mm) laid on 80mm of Celcon placed on the existing...

Hi to all
Hope some of you remember me, just to say we are still having a problem with the black galaxy tiles laid in the conservatory.
They were laid and sealed in one day. A few days later another guy came and sealed the tiles on a red hot day. He sealed about 18 sq metres in less than 20...
hello,
outdoor paving is not something i usually do however just looked at a job for 260 m2 of outdoor paving , granite 600 x 600, 25 mm thick.
Tiles are to be laid on a 50mm bed of sand and cement.
Just wondering if anybody knows the standard price per m2 , labour only ?
cheers...

I have 18" black "star galaxy" granite floor tiles. Should they be sealed - the supplier said don't bother, but I am not sure. If yes, what sealant should I use, and should it be done before or after grouting?

Just had my kitchen floor tiled with 18" "star galaxy" granite floor tiles. The builder used 4mm spacers (which look a bit wide - is this normal for granite?) and "anthracite" coloured grout. The problem is, the grout has gone light grey and looks wrong. What could cause this & what (short of...
